Day 1: Kigali
At your arrival at Kanombe international airport, meet with driver-guide. Then drive to Kigali City for your dinner and overnight at Hotel des Mille Collines, Umubano Hotel or Hotel Gorillas. Meal plan: Half-Board.
Day 2: Gorilla experience
Early morning cup of coffee, after drive to the park head quarters at 07.00am for a briefing from the Rwanda officials about the rules and regulations that govern the gorillas. From this point you will be assigned profession guides and enter into the tropical rain forest to track allocated group of gorillas. The length of the trek varies depending on where the gorillas are as well as what the weather conditions are. Therefore it is vital to bring good walkable shoes, long trousers and gloves for protection against stinging nettles, packed lunch, bottled water and snacks, rain gears, insect repellent, sun screen, hut. You spend one hour with the gorillas which is a truly amazing experience. After gorilla trekking, refresh and drive to Kinigi cultural village to enjoy the Batwa dance. Day 3: Dian Fossey
Early morning breakfast, after visit to the renowned Dian Fossey Research centre and Grave Yard, where Dr. Fossey, a distinguished primatologist spent close to two decades bringing into the light, learning and safeguarding the endangered Rwanda Mountain Gorillas. Dinner and overnight at the Mountain Gorillas Nest Lodge in Kinigi or Hotel Chez Lando or Kinigi Guest House. Meal plan: Full-Board.
Day 4: Dian-Nyungwe Forest
Dawn breakfast, after depart to the Nyungwe Forest southern region of Rwanda. This Forest has a diversity of surroundings including montane forest, bamboo, grasslands, swamps and bogs and is very mountainous as well. It gives some of the most excellent Golden Monkey trekking experiences over the canopy trekking trail in East Africa. Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe forest lodge or Gisakura Guest House. Meal plan: Full-Board.
Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking
Early morning breakfast, and then drive or go to the point of Chimpanzee trekking experience in the jungle and search for habituated Golden Monkeys. Other primates in the forest include the grey-cheeked mangabeys, blue monkeys, Angolan Columbus, L’hoest monkeys and owl-faced monkeys. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Day 6: Genocide Memorial
After breakfast, embark our safari vehicle and drive to the Genocide Memorial where remains of thousands of Tutsis and moderate Hutus are conserved. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Des Millecollines. Meal plan: Full-Board.
Day 7: Departure
Today is reserved for departures either back to your mother land or other destinations of your option. End of services, Meal plan: Half-Board.
