Detailed itinerary:
Day 1: Move to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for gorilla trekking
Have an early morning breakfast then be picked up by the driver / tour guide who will first brief you on what your 3 days Bwindi gorilla trekking and Lake Bunyonyi luxury tour covers then start the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is in southwestern Uganda. Drive from Entebbe or Kampala via Masaka-Mbarara-Kabale route and have a stopover at the Equator for photography and at Igongo cultural center for lunch then proceed to Bwindi National Park where you will check in at a lodge of your choice for overnight stay, relaxation and dinner.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla trekking Bwindi and Batwa encounter then Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Begin your day with an early morning breakfast at your lodge before heading to the park offices for a comprehensive briefing on the essential guidelines for gorilla trekking. Ensure you’re equipped with appropriate attire including long-sleeved shirts or t-shirts, trousers, socks, sturdy hiking boots, bottled water, and energy-boosting snacks. Following the briefing, you’ll be assigned to one of the habituated gorilla families, forming a group of up to 8 visitors per family.
Bwindi National Park boasts a diverse array of gorilla families available for trekking, including Mucunguzi, Kutu, Rwigi, Nshongi, Kyaguriro, Mubare, Habinyanja, Rushegura, Kahungye, Busingye, Mishaya, Bweza, Katwe, Christmas, Nkuringo, Bushaho, Bikingi, Oruzogo, Bitukura, and Mukiza.
At 8:00 am, your primate adventure trek commences under the guidance of a knowledgeable park ranger. The duration of the trek typically spans from 2 to 6 hours, contingent upon your hiking pace, the gorillas’ location, and the nature of the terrain. You’ll have a maximum of one hour to spend with the gorillas, offering ample time for observation and the opportunity to capture memorable photos.
Lunch will be enjoyed en-route, followed by a return to the lodge for relaxation. In the evening, immerse yourself in the rich culture of the Batwa community for a unique cultural experience before transferring to Lake Bunyonyi for the next leg of your journey.

Day 3: Take a Boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi

As you glide along the tranquil waters of Lake Bunyonyi, you’ll be treated to panoramic views of the scattered islands and have the opportunity to spot the diverse array of unique bird species inhabiting this enchanting Crater Lake.
Lunch will be served en-route as you savor the serenity of your surroundings. Following this leisurely excursion, you’ll return to the lodge to prepare for your departure. Your journey concludes with a transfer to Entebbe in our comfortable 4×4 safari drive marking the end of this remarkable tour.
