After breakfast, embark on an unforgettable adventure with a morning briefing before setting out on the highlight of your safari: gorilla trekking. This journey, which can last the entire day, takes you deep into the rainforest and across bamboo-covered slopes, guided by experienced trackers, in search of the Nyakagezi gorilla family, a group of nine.
The trek can be demanding, with long hours of walking through challenging terrain. Yet, all discomfort fades away the moment you catch a glimpse of the majestic silverback. Once the gorillas are spotted, you’ll be guided to within six meters of them, where you’ll have the rare opportunity to sit and observe these incredible creatures for a full hour, gazing into their expressive, soulful eyes.
Gorilla trekking is an unpredictable adventure. The hike can range from two to eight hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. Be prepared for a lengthy trek through steep, muddy conditions, sometimes under the cover of rain, before you have the privilege of encountering these magnificent animals.
