4 Days Chimpanzee Trekking in Kyambura gorge and wildlife game safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park, is specially designed for those who have less time to spend in Uganda but would love to enjoy Game drives, Scenic views, Chimpanzee trekking as well as boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Queen Elizabeth National Park located in western Uganda Leopards roam the Mweya Peninsula, which lies beside Lake Edward and lake George which are connected by the Kazinga Channel, Nearby Lake Katwe is a huge volcanic explosion crater. Boats on the Kazinga Channel float past hippos and Nile crocodiles. Chimpanzees inhabit the Kyambura gorge. Trails lead to bat caves in the central Maramagambo Forest. The Ishasha area is home to tree-climbing lions and shoebill storks.
Queen Elizabeth national park is one of the few incredible National Parks in Eastern Africa for game viewing, boat cruises, Chimpanzee trekking in the Kyambura gorge, and nature walks, with the ‘BIG 5’ – Leopard, Elephant, Hippos, Buffalo, lots of antelopes, forest hogs, hyena, and lots of birds (over 600 bird species)! Great scenic views like the unmissable calderas and crater lakes, Rwenzori Mountains.This Safari starts and ends in Entebbe or Kampala, still it can also end in Kigali Rwanda.

Day 01: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Day 02: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel
Day 03: Morning game drive and afternoon Chimpanzee trekking in the Kyambura gorge
Day 04: Drive back to Kampala/Entebbe International Airport.
Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park for Wildlife Safari.
Have early morning breakfast and be picked up from your lodge early in morning to drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will be briefed by our safari tour guide on what to expect, the drive time and to ensure that you have the right gear for your trekking safari. This journey will take you through small towns along Kampala-Mbarara highway. One will have an opportunity to see Royal drum makers along the way, small markets and also have a stop at the Equator crossing in Kayabwe to stretch and take some photographs. Lunch will be served at Mbarara town and then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a short relaxation and an evening game drive if time allows. Then have super and retire to the lodge.

Day 2: Morning game drive, Scenic View and Boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel.
After an early morning cup of coffee/tea, drive to Kasenyi plains for your game drive. Kasenyi plains boost of several wild animal species. On a good day, you may spot several herds of buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, and warthogs and big cats like lions and leopards that could be hunting. Return to the lodge for lunch and then drive to Mweya peninsular for a two hour boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. The Kazinga channel has the highest concentration of Hippos in the whole world, with over 400 species of water birds. Since this is the place where most animals converge to drink water, you will have high chances of spotting hippos, birds, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles and so much more. Retire to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura
Have breakfast and then drive to Kasenyi plains for yet another game drive to try and find some of the animals and exciting moments that you could have missed during your previous game drives. Drive back to the Lodge for lunch and then proceed to Kyambura gorge in the afternoon for briefing and then a Chimpanzee walk in the gorge. The Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura gorge can be a little bit strenuous and a certain level of fitness is required. Retire to your lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Drive back to Kampala/Entebbe International Airport
