Big 5 Wildlife Game Drive, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Boat Cruise in Uganda
5 days big 5 wild life game (that includes lions, elephants, buffalos, leopard’s) drive and Ziwa rhino sanctuary in Uganda takes you to Ziwa rhino sanctuary located in Nakasongola and the only place in Uganda where rhinos are protected in the wild and the largest wildlife national park in Uganda which sits as a Jewel in the crown, Murchison falls national park.
The Murchison falls is a fascinating spectacle with water violently crashing through the narrow, rocky gorge. The falls eject water from the Victoria River Nile through a 6-meter-wide chute, which cascades down 30 meters to the river. The water sprayed also creates a constant rainbow that can be seen by a naked eye. The wildlife in Murchison falls national park is mainly located at the The Buligi sector.
This Buligi sector is particularly famous for some of the “Big 5” (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard), as well as giraffes, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species. It offers excellent game viewing opportunities through game drives and boat safaris along the Nile River. The sector is situated in the northern part of the park, offering visitors a chance to explore this rich ecosystem. The safari also offers a boat cruise/launch along the River Nile to the bottom of Murchison falls for sightings of Acquatic Nile hippos and crocodiles as well as elephants, buffaloes gathering at the banks of the river for drinking water.
Day 5: Boat Cruise on Nile River Safari, Top of Murchison Falls Tour and Departure
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport.
Morning: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport where you will be meet by our Gorilla Safaris Uganda tour guide and be transferred to your accommodation in Entebbe or Kampala.
In the afternoon as an option, you can visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC) in Entebbe to check out the protected wildlife and learn about them and the center.
In the evening enjoy your dinner at your accommodation and overnight stay at your accommodation.
Day 2: Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola.
After early morning breakfast, depart for Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola District.
Arrive at midday to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and check-in at your lodge or camp.
In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walking safari to track the southern white rhinos in their natural habitat, your knowledgeable guides during the tracking excursions, will provide you with insight into the biology, ecology, and conservation of rhinos. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is also a haven for birdwatchers, with over 300 bird species recorded in the area. You can also have an option to spot a variety of these birdlife, including kingfishers, herons, eagles, and more.
In the evening have your dinner and overnight stay at your Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary lodge.

Day 3: Rhino Tracking and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Have breakfast in the morning go for a brief Rhino tracking, check-out of your lodge and then we depart for Murchison Falls National Park. The distance between Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Murchison Falls National Park in Uganda is approximately 75 kilometres (about 47 miles) by road. The journey typically takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on road conditions and traffic. You can make a stopover for refreshments at Masindi town or visit the local markets, explore the town’s history and have your lunch at one of the restaurants.
Arrive in the evening at your lodge within or nearby the park and check-in and then have your dinner and overnight stay at your accommodation.

Day 4: Big 5 Wildlife Game Drive in Murchison Falls National Park
Wake up early in the morning for a sunrise game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. You will expect to see:
Predators on the prowl such as lions often active, preparing for their day or catching them finishing a hunt from the previous night, or seeing the elusive leopards on the move before settling down for the day or if lucky stalking prey.
Grazing Herbivores such as herds of Elephants might be seen moving through the savannah, grazing on vegetation, or visiting watering holes or large herds of African buffaloes might be seen gathering in groups, grazing on grasses or keeping a watchful eye for predators.
You may also encounter Antelope Species like the kob, waterbucks and bushbucks grazing in open grasslands, feeding on aquatic plants and grasses near water bodies or spotted in forested areas or near dense vegetation, seeking cover from predators.
At mid-morning return to the lodge for breakfast and some relaxation and in the afternoon, have lunch and embark on another game drive, focusing on spotting some of the Big 5 (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard at the Buligi sector situated in the northern part of the park as well as other wildlife.
Return in the evening at your lodge and have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Boat Cruise on Nile River Safari, Top of Murchison Falls Tour and Departure.
Have breakfast early in the morning, and embark on a boat safari along the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls.
You can also visit the top of Murchison falls a fascinating spectacle with water violently crashing through the narrow, rocky gorge. The falls eject water from the Victoria River Nile through a 6-meter-wide chute, which cascades down 30 meters to the river. The water sprayed also creates a constant rainbow that can be seen by a naked eye.
In the afternoon return back to your lodge, check-out and transfer back to Entebbe via Kampala.
Arrive at Entebbe airport just in time for your departure flight and end of tour
